 | Destroyers Chill Castro Hot Streak Tuesday, April 22nd , 2042 It was a doubly miserable day for Daniel Castro of the Mixco College Orange Kings, as he saw his 20-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 5-2, to the Brooklyn College Destroyers at Brooklyn College Stadium. The 18-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Destroyers. "Anyone on a 20-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Brooklyn College manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year, Castro has batted at a .396 pace with 78 hits, 20 home runs, 39 RBIs and scored 52 times. |   |
