 | Counts Advance to Round 2 Wednesday, April 30th , 2042 The Philadelphia College Counts triumphed 5-2 over the Chicago College River Bats at Philadelphia College Grounds in the Round 1 to capture it 4-1. The victory advanced the Counts to the Round 2. For his superb play in the series, Counts third baseman Francisco Macias garnered the series MVP trophy, hitting .444, scoring 2 runs and batting in 4. "Only thing better than getting MVP for winning in the playoffs would be winning MVP for winning in the Round 2," Macias said later. "I'll get to work on that." The Philadelphia College Counts don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Brooklyn College Destroyers - Mixco College Orange Kings series. Mixco College leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |   |
