The honor went to Chris Whatley, left fielder of the Los Angeles College Cossacks. He burned up the league with a .355 average to win the award. Whatley went 11-for-31 for the week, totaled 3 home runs with 8 RBIs and scored 5 times. Whatley is batting at a .333 pace this season, picking up 33 hits in 99 at-bats with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 16 runs scored. |   |
