 | Scibek Swats 3 HR Against Chicago College Friday, April 7th , 2045 Houston College Lakers left fielder John Scibek slugged three home runs against the Chicago College River Bats at Lakers Stadium, but couldn't win the game all by himself. The River Bats spoiled his day by defeating the Lakers, 14-9. "The loss puts a damper on the outstanding game John had, but people will be buzzing about this for days to come," Houston College manager . "That's gotta be some consolation to him. But knowing John, he would have preferred a win." For the game, Scibek was 4-for-6 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "The first two I got all of them and it was no doubt they were gone," Scibek said later. "It seemed like the wind helped it a little on that last one. I just wish Mother Nature had helped us win the game, too." John Scibek hit a solo-shot off Jimmy Alumbaugh in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Jimmy Alumbaugh in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Ryan Roten in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and flied out in the 10th. At present, Scibek is batting .295 and has collected 11 home runs, 24 RBIs, .388 OBP and scored 23 runs. |   |
