 | Perea Bashes 5 Base Hits Monday, April 10th , 2045 Hermosillo College second baseman Jesus Perea had a big day at Hermosillo College Stadium against the Houston College Lakers. The 18-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-6 and led to the 10-9 Triplets triumph over Houston College. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Perea said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Jesus Perea doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Matthew Thomas in the 6th, singled in the 8th, hit a three-run home run off Nick Salido in the 9th and singled in the 11th. Currently Perea is batting .358 with 54 hits and 17 home runs. He has knocked in 36 runs and scored 45 times. |   |
