 | Hit Parade: Carey Pops 5 Hits Saturday, March 15th , 2042 There was no storybook ending. Aaron Carey of the Los Angeles College Silverbacks socked it to the visiting Hermosillo College Triplets with a terrific 5-hit game, but his team didn't get the win. The Silverbacks fell, 9-4, at Silverbacks Field. "I don't want to sound ungrateful, but something is missing here," Carey complained following the loss. "When you have a great game you should win the game, too." He definitely had an unforgettable day in the batter's box, ripping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Los Angeles College manager sympathized with his second baseman, telling BNN reporters after the game that "Aaron played a whale of a game, but sometimes individual brilliance is not enough." Aaron Carey hit an RBI triple in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. This year, Carey has batted at a .386 pace with 22 hits, 4 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 11 times. |   |
