Gomez led his club to victory, 16-4, over the Mixco College Orange Kings at Philadelphia College Grounds, smoking Mixco College pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 18-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Jose Gomez doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Andres Vallerio in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tony Rivera in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 6th. Gomez is hitting .361 this season with 28 home runs, 61 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 65 hits in 180 at-bats. |   |
