| Andrade Named 2039 FJUCO Most Valuable Player Award Winner Tuesday, May 17th , 2039 Javier Andrade took FBL Junior College by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 19.
For his spectacular campaign, the Xalapa College Black Diamonds star has been named the 2039 FBL Junior College Most Valuable Player Award recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the third baseman.
On the season he compiled a .434 batting average to go with a .536 on-base percentage. The native of Cuajinicuilapa, Mexico also added 22 doubles, 3 triples, 25 home runs, 54 RBIs and 61 runs scored.
He received 3 first place votes out of a possible 4. David Sanchez of the Mexico City College Skeeters finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Jesus Reyes of the Xalapa College Black Diamonds finished third.
