Hermosillo College third baseman Sal Figueroa thrice sent eager fans scurrying to catch a souvenir, helping lead the Hermosillo College to a win, 7-6, over Cancún College. "Hey, the three homers were great, but I'm just trying to help my ballclub," Figueroa said later. "I'm not going out there thinking I need another home run." Figueroa, who is tied for 2nd in the FJUCO with a .413 batting average, was 3-for-5 on the day with 4 runs batted in. Sal Figueroa hit a two-run home run off Ivan Perez in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ivan Perez in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, walked in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Danny Ruvalcaba in the 9th. In 2044 Figueroa has hit at a .413 clip with 59 hits, 18 home runs, 42 RBIs and has scored 41 times. |   |
