 | Gomez Hitless, Streak Ends at 22 Thursday, April 21st , 2044 Alexis Gomez's 22-game hitting streak was snapped at Brooklyn College Stadium. The 19-year-old Mixco College Orange Kings second baseman failed to get a hit in 4 at-bats in the game against the Brooklyn College Destroyers, but Mixco College came out the winner, 6-4. "I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Alexis," Orange Kings manager said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames." In 47 games Gomez is hitting .383 this season with 75 hits, 14 home runs, 47 RBIs, 31 walks, .463 OBP and has scored 46 runs. |   |
