 | Rose Batters Tucson for 5 Hits Tuesday, June 14th , 2044 It seemed Long Island River Otters shortstop Joe Rose could do no wrong, but it still didn't come out right. The River Otters fell against the Tucson Red Foxes by the score of 7-5. Rose did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Tucson prevailed at Belona Stadium. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Rose said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that." Joe Rose singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Rose is currently batting .298 with 7 home runs, 26 RBIs and 28 runs scored.
