| Williams Untouchable, Tosses No-Hitter Tuesday, April 25th , 2045 Mariaville Lake Reds starter Dave Williams came up big at Great American Ball Park with an exceptional 4-0 win against the Oakland Werewolves. Not only did he whip them, but Williams held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Williams. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Williams collected 7 strikeouts and surrendered 5 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books. | | |
