For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for B.J. Valdovinos, it came around today. The 23-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Scouts Field to pace the 10-5 Mesa Hawkeyes victory over the Waco Guardians. Waco skipper told reporters in the press room that "Valdovinos deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Valdovinos hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." B.J. Valdovinos doubled in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Mike Halliday in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season, Valdovinos is batting .310 with 4 home runs. |   |
