 | Gonzales Laces 3 HR Against Baltimore Monday, July 4th , 2044 Carlos Gonzales of the Buffaloes went on a hitting spree at Golden Hawks Stadium and earned membership in the select club of hitters who have hit three home runs in a game. He blasted three into the stands in a loss, 12-11, to the Baltimore Golden Hawks. "I'm not happy with the outcome of the game, but it was still a great game for me," Gonzales said in the clubhouse following the loss. "I have been making solid contact lately, but not getting any lift. Today I got it up in the air and out of the ballpark. I had my home run swing down pat. Got some good pitches to hit, too." The Omaha catcher did indeed have quite a game, collecting 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 6 RBIs and scoring 3 runs. Carlos Gonzales doubled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Gabriel Fregoso in the 6th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Gabriel Fregoso in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jose Ramirez in the 9th. So far this season, Gonzales is batting .256 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 22 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 117 at-bats, 24 walks and a .385 OBP. Gonzales has played in 46 games. |   |
