 | Mullins's 22-Game Hit Streak Ends Thursday, July 14th , 2044 London left fielder Jake Mullins experienced something against the New Orleans Winter Hawks he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Winter Hawks pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Jaspers to a 3-1 victory at New Orleans Grounds. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Mullins joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." Thus far this year, Mullins is hitting .307 with 10 home runs, 37 RBIs and 48 runs scored. |   |
