 | Hit Streak for Reilly Reaches 20 Friday, July 19th , 2041 The New Orleans Winter Hawks may have proven to be mere mortals as they lost, 4-0, to the Waco Guardians, but Jon Reilly continued to hit like a god. The right fielder collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "Reilly is playing great and is on fire right now," Winter Hawks manager said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." Reilly was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Jon Reilly singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Thus far this season, Reilly has hit .297 with 14 home runs, 50 RBIs and scored 51 times. |   |
