| Zamora on Fire: 5-for-7 for Tucson Monday, July 29th , 2041 Gary Zamora was sizzling at the plate. The Tucson first baseman blistered the Long Island River Otters for 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but couldn't prevent his club from falling to defeat, 6-3.
"Zamora was too tough to get out today," River Otters skipper said in a postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too. But hey, I don't mind if every game somebody gets 5 hits off us, as long as we win."
Gary Zamora doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 9th, flied out in the 11th and grounded out in the 14th.
