 | Hyde's Mendez Sidelined for Season Thursday, May 12th , 2044 Ricky Mendez has to call it a season. The Hyde Bombers reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Newtown, El Dorado County Hawks and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Mendez was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a torn rotator cuff and stated that he would not be able to play for 12 months. Taking a look at his season, Mendez has made 14 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 0-1 won-lost mark and a 7.47 ERA. In pitching 15.2 innings, he has totaled 16 strikeouts and 6 walks. |   |
