 | Angel Ramon Rockets 3 Home Runs Wednesday, June 1st , 2044 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Chiniak Alouettes. Albany left fielder Angel Ramon tripled up on the home runs to propel the Jokers to a win, 9-1, at Alouettes Park. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Chiniak manager said. "Ramon hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Ramon collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 7 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Angel Ramon struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off John Johnson in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off John Johnson in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Melvin Perez in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Ramon is hitting .235 this year with 10 home runs and 22 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .279, 9 walks and scored 20 times. |   |
