Colon Hits for Cycle Against Guadalajara
Tuesday, May 2nd , 2045
Carlos Colon did everything he could for the Hafford Coyotes -- literally.

The 25-year-old second baseman hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run for the Coyotes, going for the cycle and helping them get past the Guadalajara Gooners, 18-4, at Morelia Stadium.

"Yeah, I was some kind of hitter in this game," Colon reflected later. "It was like all I had to do was close my eyes and swing the bat."

In a game headed for the record books, Colon banged out 4 hits in 5 at-bats and totaled 4 RBI and 3 runs scored. Speaking with the press about the feat, he attributed it to "a lot of luck."

"A triple is so hard to hit," he said. "To just decide to get one in a game when you need it for a cycle, it's impossible. Usually something weird has to happen, the ball kicking past an outfielder or somebody falling down. There's a ton of luck in hitting for a cycle."

Carlos Colon doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 6th and tripled in the 9th.

Colon has collected 15 hits for the Coyotes this year, 2 of them home runs. He has also netted 13 RBIs and scored 8 runs while batting .375.
