 | Great Day for Wilson -- 5 Hits Sunday, June 4th , 2045 All game long, Waco's Erik Wilson was rattling the walls at Continentals Grove and banging out base hits against the Newtown, El Dorado County Hawks. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Woodpeckers had a win, 6-5. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 24-year-old second baseman said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Erik Wilson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. For the year, Wilson is batting .360 with 9 home runs, 23 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |   |
