| Villatoro Raps 3 HR Against Woodpeckers Wednesday, July 12th , 2045 In a powerful performance that left the fans at Hawks Park buzzing, Newtown, El Dorado County Hawks second baseman Jose Villatoro blasted a trio of home runs en route to a win, 8-3, over the Waco Woodpeckers.
"Everything was clicking," Villatoro told the press. "My timing was good and I got pitches I could handle and I didn't miss them."
Villatoro shined brilliantly in the win, with 4 hits in 4 at-bats, 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
"It's not just one guy, it's everybody," Hawks manager said. "Jose played great but it takes more than one guy to win a game."
Jose Villatoro hit an RBI triple in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jon Oquendo in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jon Oquendo in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off Andrew Nichols in the 7th.
