 | Thacker on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Black Fork Sunday, July 16th , 2045 Josh Thacker was at the head of a Cheyenne hit parade at Honkers Field. The center fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Honkers to a nice 17-1 victory over the Black Fork Desperados. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Thacker told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Desperados skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Josh Thacker flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Cortez Corral in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Heath Shirley in the 8th. Currently Thacker is batting .312 with 106 hits and 12 home runs. He has knocked in 36 runs and scored 63 times. |   |
