 | Hits Galore: Hoover Drills 5 Hits Friday, July 1st , 2044 It was a big day for Casey Hoover and he brought the Surrey Kernels along for the ride. Hoover led his club to victory, 13-8, over the Sacramento Spartans at Pelicans Park, smoking Sacramento pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 20-year-old first baseman later called the victory "sweet." Casey Hoover hit a three-run home run off Rob Martin in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Alex Bonilla in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Felipe Rosales in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year, Hoover has batted at a .296 pace with 16 hits, 8 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 13 times. |   |
