 | Red-Hot Bat: McIver Collects Cycle Wednesday, May 28th , 2042 The Sacramento Spartans were too much for the Guadalajara Gooners, winning, 4-3, despite the batting heroics of Guadalajara left fielder Terrence McIver. In a losing effort, McIver had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 runs batted in. After the game, McIver said he was "unfazed" by the outcome. "Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you." Terrence McIver doubled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Vinny Hernandez in the 9th.
