| Sacramento's Washington Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Wednesday, April 16th , 2042 Jaden Washington was at the head of a Sacramento Spartans hit parade at Pelicans Park. The 24-year-old went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Steward Bandits that marched off with the 10-9 win.
"We didn't have it today," griped Spartans skipper following the game. "Jaden did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching."
Washington did more than fine, dominating the Bandits at the plate during his record-making 5-for-6 performance.
"Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging left fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats."
Jaden Washington singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Bob Dares in the 7th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
