 | SL1 Names Pitcher of the Year Award Winner Monday, October 24th , 2044 It was as good as money in the bank when Emilio Gadea took the hill for Leaf Rapids. He paid his club back with interest this season with a superb 6-1 mark, collecting the Sub League 1 Pitcher of the Year Award for 2044. The Flying Tigers star delighted the hometown fans with a fine 2.27 ERA and 98 strikeouts in 99.1 innings. Gadea surrendered 69 hits and 19 walks and limited opposing batters to a .192 batting average. He received 23 first place votes out of a possible 24. Ricardo Munoz of the Elrod Running Rebels finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Miguel Rivera of the Leaf Rapids Flying Tigers finished third.
