Ricketson Named 2044 SL1 Most Valuable Player Award Winner
Tuesday, October 25th , 2044
At the age of 18, Steve Ricketson of the Avery T-Bones could very well have his best years ahead of him.

It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2044 was good enough to win the first baseman the Sub League 1 Most Valuable Player Award.

"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."

The top hitter put up a .294 batting average this year, as well as a .397 on-base percentage. He played 75 games and racked up 79 hits, 10 doubles, 2 triples, 30 home runs, 82 RBIs and 54 runs scored.

He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 24. Gustavo Londono of the Elrod Running Rebels finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while Robby Santos of the Bradley River Sharks finished third with 2 first place votes.
