 | Pacheco Bashes 5 Base Hits Friday, July 26th , 2041 It was a sensational day at the plate for Tavares Ironmen left fielder Roberto Pacheco, but a tough one for the team, as the Ironmen dropped the contest, 12-10, to the Hudgens Manatees. Even with the loss, Pacheco was pure misery for the Hudgens pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting. "It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Pacheco, who is the 22-year old left fielder . "Pacheco really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Manatees manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Roberto Pacheco singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year, Pacheco has batted at a .289 pace with 28 hits, 1 home run, 19 RBIs and scored 10 times. |   |
