| 3 Bombs for Alex Trujillo Saturday, July 27th , 2041 Albanel Millers first baseman Alex Trujillo sensed he was going to have a good day at the plate, but he still might have underestimated it a little.
Prior to the start of today's contest with the La Guaira Limas, Trujillo told teammates he was sure he would hit a home run. He did -- three times.
"During batting practice I really had my swing down pat," he recalled. "I felt some thunder in the lumber."
The big day from Trujillo pushed the Millers past the Limas, 10-1. To go along with the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
"I was seeing good, feeling good and swinging good," Trujillo told reporters after the game.
Alex Trujillo hit a two-run home run off Danny Rodriguez in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Tyler Boi in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off John Phelps in the 8th.
This season, Trujillo has 19 home runs and a .336 batting average. | | |
