 | Loya Slams 3 Homers for Knights Friday, July 7th , 2045 Manny Loya went yard three times in a Red Hill Knights victory over the Trawick Brawlers at Brawlers Grove. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Red Hill catcher went 3-for-4 against Trawick with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Knights to the 11-7 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Manny Loya walked in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Sergio Arteaga in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ricky Guerra in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Bill Lewis in the 9th. This season, Loya is batting .360 with 18 hits, 7 home runs, 21 RBIs, 3 walks, .418 OBP and has scored 12 runs. He has played in 16 games. |   |
