| Sanchez Rips Red Hill for 5 Hits Wednesday, July 19th , 2045 It was a sensational day at the plate for Aberdeen Rockers first baseman Steve Sanchez, but a tough one for the team, as the Rockers dropped the contest, 9-3, to the Red Hill Knights.
Even with the loss, Sanchez was pure misery for the Red Hill pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Sanchez, who is the 19-year old first baseman .
"Sanchez really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Knights manager told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Steve Sanchez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Currently Sanchez is hitting .248 and has collected 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and scored 8 times, while playing in 28 games. | | |
