Danny Ruvalcaba was a calming influence out of the Havana Hitmen bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 19-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the Sub League 2 Reliever of the Year Award for 2044.

The Chetumal, Mexico native won the award with no saves in 22 relief appearances, 21 strikeouts in 19.1 innings and a record of 3-0 to go with his 0.47 ERA.

He received 20 first place votes out of a possible 24. Jerry Coleman of the Portland Voltigeurs finished second in voting with 2 first place votes, while Brooks Kreutzer of the Havana Hitmen finished third with 2 first place votes.
