Mammoths Hope Opening Day Win Bodes Well for Season
The Philadelphia Fury inaugurated their 2042 season with a tough 6-5 loss to the Montreal Mammoths at Fury Field. Starting Pitcher Ryan Wentworth had perhaps the best performance for Montreal. The winner was Wentworth. He threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Joe Jones.

Frank Moreno went 1 for 5 for Montreal. The 28-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Joe Jones. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

"It feels good to get this one," Wentworth told the Montreal Citizen.
