No matter what the Dallas Jets threw him, Jimmy Taylor hit it. The 25-year-old San Diego Luchadors left fielder racked up 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Jets Field and led the Luchadors to a win, 7-0.

In an outstanding mound performance, Hollywood Hitters starter Joe Ward fired a complete-game shutout against the Seattle Pilots at Hitters Park.
Ward was the key to the 3-0 Hollywood win. The 29-year-old left-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 3 hits and 4 walks he allowed.
"3 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout."
On the season, Ward has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 3.08 ERA.

It wasn't easy but the Mexico City Marauders made it look that way.
Starter Rafael Molina shut out the Atlanta Peaches despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Mexico City Marauders cruised to victory, 7-0. Molina allowed only 3 hits and rang up 12 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
This season, Molina has 3 wins and 1 loss and a 3.22 ERA.
