 | Detroit Halts Saldivar's Hitting Steak Sunday, July 30th , 2045 The Vipers stopped Roberto Saldivar's 22-game hitting streak at Mammoths Field, but they couldn't stop the Montreal Mammoths, falling by the score of 9-1. Saldivar didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-3. "It's just as well," Mammoths manager David Fields said. "We couldn't spend the whole season going out of our way not to jinx him." So far in 2045 Saldivar is batting .361 with 1 home run, 14 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
