Starting pitcher Brian Herman fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Orlando Orange stymie the Boston Kings, 6-2. Herman, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 6 walks. With the win, Orlando boosts its record to 8-8.

Orlando used a clutch at-bat from Cody Cherry to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Orange ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
