| Twisters Come Up Short at Leon, 6-5 | Leon beat Oklahoma City at Toltecs Field, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Frank Foutch. He went 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Carlos Meza claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. His record stands at 2-1. Al Reyes notched his 13th save in 15 chances.
Ben Ingram cracked a home run off Cesar Gomez in the bottom of the seventh. His 2-run blast put the Toltecs on top, 6-5. In all, Ingram had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I know we have our doubters," said Oklahoma City manager David Fields. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
