| Miami 7-3 Victors at Fury Field | The Miami Makos topped the Philadelphia Fury, 7-3, in Independent action at Fury Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Miami pitcher Malachi Brock. Brock picked up the win for Miami, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. The Fury fall to 6-11.
Jason Prioleau had a big run-scoring triple for the Makos in the top of the third inning. With Miami leading 1-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a changeup from Joe Jones, who led the IL in strikeouts with 185 in 2041, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Makos ahead, 2-0.
