| Rangers Drop Peaches, 8-4 | Fans who congregated at Peachers Park were treated to extra-inning drama.
Atlanta shortstop Adam Clark had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-4, to Houston at Peachers Park. Clark went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Al Reyes snagged the win in relief. He goes to 3-1 on the season. Chet Corson suffered the loss.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Bob Skolnick came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Atlanta pitcher Chet Corson, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Houston on top, 5-4.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Skolnick.
The third-place Rangers are 33-29.
