| Luchadors Absorb 4-2 Home Loss | Hollywood picked up a win at Luchadors Field, bumping off the San Diego Luchadors, 4-2. Pitcher Phil Seals was a major reason the Hitters emerged victorious. David Fernandez earned the save for Hollywood, his 15th. The first-place Hitters improved to 32-29.
Hollywood used a well-timed hit by Duane Purcell to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Hitters ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We did a lot of things right," said Seals.
