| 6-2 Loss Deepens Atlanta Funk | The 2044 season is going from bad to worse for Atlanta.
Miguel Jimenez propelled his team to victory over the Atlanta Peaches. The final score was 6-2, Houston. Ruben Perez nailed down his 16th save.
In the bottom of the first, 21-year old center fielder Joe Medeiros hit a 2-run home run. The 10th home run of the season for the Houston center fielder put the Rangers on top, 3-1.
"We're not winning games right now," said Atlanta manager David Fields. "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
The losing skid has reached 14 games for Atlanta.
