| Smith Socks 2 Home Runs in 9-5 Oklahoma City Win | Behind a fine performance from Tim Smith, the Oklahoma City Twisters knocked off the Dallas Jets, 9-5. Smith went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Twisters. Cesar Gomez was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Alfredo Mandujano. Oklahoma City, at 31-31, holds down last place in the United Central.
Eric Sibley's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 5-5. The Oklahoma City second baseman hit a run-scoring single off Alfredo Mandujano to put the Twisters up.
