| Empire Tag Mammoths with 4-3 Loss | New York Empire starter Mike Clark was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Montreal Mammoths, 4-3. Danny Gephart, who finished 2nd in the IL in innings pitched with 160.0 in 2031, earned the save for New York. For the Mammoths, the loss makes them 5-11.
New York used a clutch at-bat from Enrique Paucar to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Empire ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Paucar told the New York Today.
