Firebirds Get Close Win Over Rangers, 5-4
The Phoenix Firebirds defeated the Houston Rangers, 5-4, at Globe Life Field. Phoenix was led by former first round draft pick Roberto Rodriguez, who went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Lee O'Meara. He went 8 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Kevin Williamson closed it out for Phoenix, earning his 16th save.
