| San Francisco Falters Again, Loses, 5-2, to Seattle | Seattle pitcher Vernon Mathews did his part in helping his team defeat the San Francisco Pioneers, 5-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the left-hander. Mathews picked up the win for Seattle, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Adam Krawczuk earned the save, his 15th, for the Pilots.
