| Jets Deal Firebirds 5-1 Defeat | At Firebirds Ballpark, the Phoenix Firebirds and Dallas Jets were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
Led by Josue Hernandez, the Dallas Jets downed the Phoenix Firebirds, 5-1. Hernandez went 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Jets. Tyler Kramer earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record is now 1-0.
Dallas second baseman Antonio Becerra helped the Jets go up, 2-0, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Becerra hit a 2-run single off Phoenix pitcher Jim Burrows.
"It was a solid team effort," said Becerra after the game.
The Jets improved their record to 32-38 with the win over Phoenix.
