| 6-1 Triumph Takes Mexico City to 47-25 | The Mexico City Marauders knocked off the Oklahoma City Twisters, 6-1, at Marauders Field. Sergio Melendez was a big reason Mexico City won. The third baseman was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner was Rafael Molina, who threw 109 pitches over 5.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 1 run on 7 hits. Antonio Santoy wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
The Marauders had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 5-1, Mexico City, with two out. Oklahoma City, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Tony Quere dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 fastball, he struck out.
