| Down to Defeat Goes Leon, 5-0 | Jose Felix left his imprint on the 5-0 Denver win against the Leon Toltecs. Felix, who is tied for 8th in the UL in runs scored with 43, was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Reliever Latrell Jones picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Mitch Kroening, who is tied for 8th in the UL in strikeouts with 107, took the loss. The Toltecs have now dropped 5 straight.
The Queens got a big at-bat from right fielder Edgar Mendoza. For the game, Mendoza went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 16th double of the season gave Denver a 2-0 lead.
