| Kings Beaten By Mammoths, 5-3 | Good production from left fielder Joe Hahn helped the Montreal Mammoths topple the Boston Kings, 5-3. Hahn went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mammoths. The winner was Montreal reliever Val Kerr, now 2-0. The loser was Jeff Bychyk. Alonso Donatoni nailed down his 1st save.
The Mammoths got a big at-bat from center fielder Rich Wells. For the game, Wells was 1 for 4 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Montreal a 4-3 lead.
"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Hahn.
The Kings drop to 9-10 and continue their mediocre start to the 2042 season. | | | | |
