| With Late Score, Twisters Beat Jets | The Dallas Jets wasted an impressive 7-inning effort from starter Gerardo Corona, falling, 2-1, to the Oklahoma City Twisters at Jets Field. The win was credited to Brad DeAngelo in relief. His record improves to 2-4. Andy Urso took the loss. Chad Strickland recorded the save. In save chances, he's now 11 for 16.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Justin Porter came to bat in the top of the eighth. Facing Dallas pitcher Andy Urso, he hit a 3-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Oklahoma City on top, 2-1.
"Every loss hurts," said Dallas manager David Fields. "But this was a tough one."
With the victory, the Twisters upped their record to 39-36.
